Johnson & Johnson Vision Care will hold a series of its annual roadshows via satellite link this year, allowing more practitioners to attend the ever-popular events.
The 2010 ‘2020 is in Sight’ themed lectures will be held in eight cities throughout the UK during March, with two stops scheduled in London.
The CET-packed programme, which has up to 9 CET points available to those who attend, aims to give delegates an insight into how they can develop their clinical skills and their business over the next decade.
The contact lens giant has confirmed Noel Brennan, a researcher who specialises in clinical studies and has authored over 250 papers, as keynote speaker. Supported by Jeff Walline, assistant professor at Ohio State University College of Optometry, as guest speaker, the pair will discuss their latest clinical findings.
Topics that will be covered include: ‘Developing your practice with kids and contact lenses’; ‘Satisfying patients with the right contact lens materials and designs’; ‘Dispensing for eye health’; and ‘Getting staff ready to realise your 2020 vision’.
David Ruston, director of professional affairs for J&J in Western Europe, said: “Thanks to the popularity of previous roadshows, the Vision Care Institute is able to continue to offer a variety of educational opportunities to help practitioners keep up-to-date with all the latest developments in the industry. We are pleased to be able to provide these roadshows to help eye care professionals bring healthy vision to their patients and thrive in practice through to 2020 and beyond.”
The roadshows will take place in London (March 7 and 9), Birmingham (March 8), Manchester (March 10) and Leeds (March 11). The lectures will additionally be streamed live at satellite venues in Southampton (March 8), Bristol (March 9), Newcastle (March 10) and Loughborough (March 11).
