Carrot Walk looming

August 20 2012

Dispensing optician David Hunter is one of many who is aiming to complete the Fight for Sight Carrots NightWalk on September 21 to raise money for research into sight loss.

From Eyecare Opticians in Ipswich, Mr Hunter is hoping to raise £450 for the charity.

The annual charity walk will see participants complete a 15-mile route around London, taking in some of the Capital’s main attractions.

Chief executive of Fight for Sight, Michele Acton, said: “Our aim is to reduce the number of people who lose their sight as a result of diabetes; and the research we’re funding into diabetic eye disease simply wouldn’t be possible without our amazing supporters like David. His fundraising efforts will help our work to create a future everyone can see and we’re delighted that he’s chosen to go the extra mile to help our charity.”
