Fashion designer Neil Lennon has been named as the latest regional finalist in Specsavers’ Spectacle Wearer of the Year search.
The 25-year-old beat off competition from more than 4,000 hopefuls in a semi-final heat hosted at the multiple’s Tottenham Court Road practice on Tuesday (August 7) to become the South East Spectacle Wearer for 2012.
Mr Lennon will join other regional finalists at the annual competition’s grand final hosted by TV fashion guru Gok Wan in London’s Battersea Power Station on October 30.
The person crowned the bespectacled winner will scoop a 12-month modelling contact with MOT Models and a two-week holiday for two to Barbados, with £250 spending money. They will also receive a makeover with celebrity hairdresser Andrew Barton and a year’s supply of Simple skincare products, as well as a goodie bag.
The nationwide search for the 2012 Spectacle Wearer of Year was launched earlier this year by ex-Coronation Street actress Helen Flanagan.
Specsavers will donate £1 for every competition entry received to Kidscape. Last year, the multiple raised over £20,000 for the anti-bullying charity.
