Fashion quarter booking up fast

July 11 2012

Trend-setting frame companies have seized space within the Fashion Quarter at next April’s Optrafair, which is now nearly sold out, despite being expanded by 33% compared to the previous tradeshow.

Optrafair sales manager, Alys Cochrane, said that despite enlarging the Fashion Quarter, just two units remain available for the April 13-15 optical event at The NEC, Birmingham.

Many new and long-established frame companies have been drawn to the premium boutique area, with the excitement of a catwalk being a major attraction, according to show owners, the FMO.

Norville is a first time exhibitor to the Fashion Quarter and will be showcasing new licence brands. Sales director, Mark Truss, said: “This gives us the opportunity to hone in on our fashion offering, particularly Duck and Cover the urban fashion brand, Barbour with both sun and ophthalmic collections, Vera Wang, Jeff Banks and his diffusion Studio label.”
