Floor space selling well

May 8 2012

More than 60% of floor space for Optrafair 2013 has been sold to previous exhibitors, the FMO has confirmed.

Held biennially at the NEC in Birmingham, next year’s three-day event will run from April 13-15.

With 2011 exhibiting companies given first refusal on a stand at the 2013 show, booking has now opened for all other companies.

FMO chief executive, Malcolm Polley, said: “New opportunities are on offer for 2013, with an enlarged and more exclusive Fashion Quarter, dedicated areas for contact lens and technology businesses and the chance to position a company alongside compatible, or even competing, ventures.”

A wide range of exhibitors including frame and sunglass companies, IT practice management system providers, financial planning firms, optical gadget specialists and diagnostic technology businesses are all confirmed.

Mr Polley added: “We have had a tremendous response to opening the booking for 2013 and are very heartened by the positive feedback from so many of the 2011 Optrafair exhibitors. This is the show that the profession waits for every two years – it is the time to come and take stock of where a practice is and investment is needed to move it forward to compete successfully on the High Street.”
