Optisoft donates to Vision Care for Homeless People

January 31 2011

Practice management software company Optisoft has made a £500 donation to Vision Care for Homeless People, a charity which provides homeless people with free sight tests and spectacles.

The company, which now communicates with its 1,000 independent practice customers by email, donated the funds which it usually sets aside for postage and stationary.

Sales manager, Des Mayhew – pictured left, presenting charity founder Harinder Paul with a cheque – said: "Making a small contribution can make an enormous difference to a charity such as this, which runs with minimal overheads and provides the means for many people to get back into society. Sadly, it seems there are a growing number of homeless people and the demands of this charity are set to grow – it is very rewarding to offer some help."

Vision Care for Homeless People has clinics in London and Birmingham.
