Specsavers puts children in the frame

August 8 2012

Specsavers has launched some new ‘super-specs’ for children, with three titanium styles.

Director of range development, sourcing and design at Specsavers, Kerry Pullin, said: “We’ve included some titanium glasses for children in this summer’s New for Kids at Specsavers campaign. It’s a metal that’s used in high speed jets as it offers the perfect combination of lightness and strength. Those qualities make it the ultimate specs material, so we’ve teamed it with our new SuperTough lenses to create these super-specs for kids.”

The new titanium glasses include modern rounded specs in black for boys, while for girls there are candy pink specs with cut-out detail on the arms.

The 'New for Kids' at Specsavers ranges also include Star Wars: The Clone Wars, Simpsons, Spider-Man, Marvel Super Heroes and LEGO.

All spectacles across the children’s collections are offered with SuperTough lenses free for under-16s. Made from Trivex, the lenses are are guaranteed never to break, crack or chip, it's claimed. They are also scratch-resistant, lightweight and offer 100% UV protection.
