Sponsored student project gains award

August 3 2012

Emma Barden (pictured receiving her prize from Dean Johnson) has been awarded the Haag-Streit UK-sponsored prize for best biomedical engineering project, for her research involving the development of an imaging system for checking the quality of Goldmann tonometer prisms.

Ms Barden, who graduated from the University of Kent, Canterbury with a first class honours bachelor of engineering degree in electronic and communications engineering, commented: “I’m absolutely thrilled to have won the award. It has been such a privilege to work on a Haag-Streit UK-funded project that may someday become a commercialised product.”
