It is reported that an estimated 50 million Americans suffer from allergies, with 50% having seasonal and indoor allergies which affect their eyes.
Raising awareness on how to treat, identify and mange eye symptoms related to allergies, expert Paul Karpecki featured on Healthy Vision with Val Jones, an online radio show supported by Acuvue which covers healthy vision.
Eye redness, itchiness, tearing, blurred vision and swelling of the eyelids are all consequences of seasonal and indoor allergies.
Appearing on the show earlier this month, Dr Karpecki gave listeners advice on ways to prevent and minimise reactions. He also spoke about pet-related allergies, with 15-30% of people suffering them.
